Who am I

II’m Dean Patton — a leadership, strategy and coaching professional with more than 25 years’ experience across the operational sector, including over 15 years in senior leadership, strategy and organisational performance roles.

I’ve held senior leadership, site executive and director-level positions with global and national organisations including Pfizer, Baxter, Goodman Fielder, and Devro, leading large teams and operating in complex, high-accountability environments.

My work has consistently focused on translating strategy into execution through disciplined continuous improvement. I bring deep, practical experience across Lean, Six Sigma, Agile and strategy deployment, including the use of X-matrix planning, balanced scorecards, leader standard work and tiered accountability to align improvement effort with business priorities.

Alongside industry leadership, I have lectured and developed postgraduate content in competitive strategy and operational excellence with Southern Cross University, strengthening my ability to turn complex concepts into practical, applied frameworks.

I’m also the author of Ditch the Bollocks, Lead for Real, a pragmatic exploration of leadership focused on clarity, accountability and results.

Today, I support organisations and leaders seeking clearer strategy, aligned execution and sustained performance improvement through a practical, coaching-led approach.
